Notification of an educational visa in Thailand

There are several reasons why most foreign students are studying in a tropical country, Thailand.

First, the very calm and warm climate offers the feeling of comfort and relaxation, which is very beneficial for learning. The second most Thai university offers programs that are globally accredited and internationally recognized. Third, the cost of living is affordable.

Among the courses and programs available in Thailand, foreign students can choose from: education, economics, accounting, information technology, medicine, business administration (marketing, finance and banking), biotechnology, architecture, mass communication and journalism, science and technology, and of course the Thai language.

Thailand Visa Procedure

Step 1: Apply at your chosen university for the course or program you want.

All Thai universities follow different internal rules. In some cases, the mere photocopy of the required documents is sufficient, while in some cases the original certified copies are required. These documents must be submitted with the correct application form of the university submitted by foreigners.

Because there are many programs or courses that the applicant can choose, it is recommended that the student initially select as many programs as he wants. In the final stage of the application, the potential student can choose the university's programs where he / she accepts.

Step 2: Letter of Admission

Upon receipt of a letter of admission by a foreign student, the program is considered to be accepted.

The letter must indicate the date on which the student is to begin the requested semester for the scheduled classes and any subject authorized for that semester.

The minimum number of subjects to be enrolled by foreign students is at least three (3) subjects per semester.

Step 3: Applying for Thai Student Water (Requirements)

After the potential foreign applicant has secured these three requirements, you can now apply for a visa at the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate.

If the applicant already has a valid tourist visa in the country, there is no need to leave Thailand to convert the tourist visa into a student visa. However, if the applicant is without a valid visa in the country (as residents of neighboring countries who do not need a visa to enter the country), they are obliged to leave Thailand and apply for a visa outside the country.

Step 4. The 90-day student visa

According to Thai law, the original student visa to be issued to a foreign student will be valid: only ninety (90) days. During the 90-day period, a foreign student is required to register at the Thai University and pay the tuition fee.

When confirming the compliance of the two twin devices (payment and registration), the student can now fully apply for a one-year visa in Thailand without having to leave the country to run the visa.

Step 5. Tasks of a foreign student

Following the publication of Thai Student Visa Thai law obliges these owners to notify the government of their location and status within ninety (90) days. This provision provided additional protection to the visa holder's welfare. In accordance with the rules, the foreign student must fill in a simple form and indicate the current address so that the appropriate Thai immigration office can be established at any time.

This form can be done by a student of an immigration office anywhere in Thailand or even by post. The Thai law strictly implements this rule. Thus, foreign students are warned to follow the procedure or face the risk of losing Thailand's educational visa.
