In Bangkok, the lack of foreign lawyers registration

One of Bangladesh's largest cities and Southeast Asian trading center, Bangkok's proverbial wheelchair business with Far East. If you live, work or invest in Thailand, you may need to have legal advice. In Thailand's legal affairs, it is always advisable to keep a Thai lawyer. However, in multiple jurisdictions, it may be necessary to hire a lawyer with jurisdiction outside Thailand. The main obstacle often lies in the search for a foreign lawyer: "wheat from chaff", since Thailand has no mechanism to register and regulate foreign lawyers.

In Asian jurisprudence, such as Singapore and Hong Kong (twice mentioning twice), authorities imposed laws on the registration and control of the practice of foreign lawyers. This system is the result of a foreign legal community that is transparent and overboard. In Thailand, the activities of foreign lawyers and "advisers" remain in a certain gray area. Thailand, as a member of the World Trade Organization, has indicated its intention to open up its market for international trade and services. However, Thailand has not yet implemented the many provisions required by the WTO, in particular provisions relating to foreign lawyer registration, for the purposes of this Article. According to the Foreign Business Act of 1999, foreigners are excluded from the practice law, but the foreign foreign entrepreneur's license is listed in the third list in the Annex to the Aliens Act. according to legal services. It appears that the laws of Thailand have distinguished the exercise of the right and the opaque term "legal services". The difference between the two terms seems to occur when an undertaking pursues litigation.

Since Thailand was idle for its WTO obligations, the question of foreign lawyers involved in the exercise of Thai foreign law is uncertain. This somewhat strange legal situation is the result of the fact that foreign (Thai and foreign) people seeking legal advice are being compromised in the services of a person who has no formal legal training. By establishing a mechanism to regulate foreign lawyers, other governments will ensure that foreign law practitioners are able to do so in the area of licensing law. By not having such legislation, laymen could easily stun someone who did not have a business dispute with legal advice.

Please note: Nothing in this article may be used as a legal counsel for the legal counsel of the legal counsel. You do not need a lawyer / client relationship to infer that they have created this article.
