One of the most important questions asked by new bloggers is "Do I have to get my blog or get a blog?" I have heard this question several times than I remember.
Although the advantages and disadvantages of both, your own web hosting server is always better at the end of the day. Let me tell you two simple and valid reasons to never use a blog service:
Reason 1: Limited resources
Publishing content remotely via your host requires you to check the appearance and functioning of your messages. This is primarily because a planned remote hosted blog is built to accommodate hundreds of thousands of bloggers.
For such a large volume of activity you can only afford to offer the least. A blog that offers a wide range of services to many people consumes a lot more resources than their own servers can provide – to avoid the risk of big crashes. Even as simple as a low graphical query, it consumes an unforgettable amount of bandwidth if more than 100,000 bloggers choose to offer their visitors. The popular blog uses more bandwidth than you can imagine.
Resources are no longer a problem for a standalone hosted WordPress blog. The blog with web hosting allows you to download your blog with as many plugins and gadgets as your heart without fearing server collapse or timeouts.
It's a fact that you should not spend more bandwidth than your own host than you consume from your website hosted by your host.
Second reason: Limited monetization options
We could not count the number of people who want to monetize their blogs if they want. The simple fact is that everyone and his "mother" earn money on their blog, but the nasty reality is that many (free) remote hosts do not allow.
For example, if you are hosting a blog on WordPress.com, it is forbidden to use any direct advertising such as Google AdSense or affiliate links.
Limited resources may affect this limitation, but since most revenue-generating campaigns require third-party resources, this retention is primarily censorship. Service providers like disabling third-party ads generally do this because they want to promote their own services, or at least get more people to sign up for their free blogs.
If you own a blog, you can use any type of advertising program. You only limit your conscience (or data from your visitor statistics) and is the only policy that must follow third-party advertising providers' guidelines. This will allow you to tap popular programs, such as Google AdSense, Chitika, text ads, and more.
Cause 3: Long-term Verification of Content
One of the most disregarded reasons for having its own blog hosting is to fully manage content over the long term. Although some free blogging providers, such as BlogSpot, undoubtedly continue to do business, some of them have ever been.
And if this happens, it may be difficult (if not impossible) to move content to another free service provider. Even for BlogSpot or WordPress.com (free version) you should move the content to your blog for two or three years on the road.
Unfortunately, the search engine rankings and the free traffic associated with it are lost. So even if you think you save $ a couple of dollars in the past, you will always be in a bad position in the long run if you decide not to keep your own blog.
Webhosting blog blogs are now fairly affordable – mostly under seven dollars a month – so there is no real reason not to take the blog to the next level. The scarce cost can not be compared to its advantages, such as flexibility and professionalism.
