Thai silk

What is really Taiwan silk?

The Chinese have been silent for thousands of years in silk! Indeed, this is an exclusive material and back to the past is only the high society and the kings. The secret was protected by massive sanctions. Anyone who found the silkworm eggs, the cocoons, or even the seed of the mulberry tree, died, to death.

The secret will not last forever in secret. The Thai silk grows with a small man like Bombyx mori: silkworms from silkworm eggs.
Worms eat leaves of mulberry trees until they become one year old after building a cocoon from their saliva.

To melt the silk yarn we need to put the cocoon in hot water. The length of silk fibers in the pommels varies considerably from 500-1 500 yards. Its length depends largely on the types of worms that caused it.
? Up to now, most of the silk yarns in Thailand are hand-worn by women, the filaments form several cubes that overlap the raw silk with a wooden spindle.

Is this a really time-consuming process? It can take up to 40 hours for one and a half kilos of silk. Many silk culture families simplified the work with a wrapping machine. However, most traditional manufacturers still use the old or "original" method, consisting of three types of silk: two fine, lightweight fabrics and a thicker material for heavier materials.

Threads of silk soaked in hot water to remove the reminder of the seracin. Since Thai silk yarn is yellow, it must be bleached prior to staining; This is done by drawing the skeletons into large tubs containing hydrogen peroxide, washing and drying in the sun.

The Thai silk was then woven on a hand, the fibers (chains and weaves) that pass through and past the weaving process. Thai Silk is a hand-woven material, which means that despite its width, color and quality requirements, it still retains a certain degree of individuality that can be achieved by more advanced technology.

Thai Silk Cleaning and Care

Thai Silk is an excellent durable and flexible grade. This is a delicate material that can not be looked down on or treated with cotton. In order to avoid dry cleaning in the original look and feel of the fabric. Wash the Thai silk by hand with a very mild soap. Rinse the silk fabric in light water (do not exceed 48.6 degrees Celsius) until it is cleaned. Then gently push the fabric with your hands manually. Do not break. For the last rinse, add a spoon of pure white vinegar to keep its original shine and let it dry in the shade.

Important:

Please do not use a tumble dryer or washing machine to clean the Thai silk screen. It is recommended to iron on the back of the fabric, directly in a dry state; or a fabric can be applied over the silk over the fabric so that the iron does not come into direct contact with the silk fabric.

Real South Silk Certification

Just follow the four main ways of determining true silk 😕 A) The true Thai silk is up to 10 times more than artificial silk.

B) One fact is that the traditional Thai silk is woven by hand, meaning that no fabric is identical and each is unique. The artificial silk is machine-woven, therefore it is always the same color and all parts of the fabric look the same.

C. Luster also shows that the fabric is genuine or imitated. The pure Taiwanese silk was made in one color for the warp thread and the other for the weft. It produces light and shine, and creates the unique two sounds and blends. Color change depending on the angle at which the light is held. D) If we burn silk with flame, it leaves a fine ashes and smells like burning hair. Remember that silk is made of natural yarn that comes from silk scarf and resembles fibers or nails. After removing the flame, it does not burn. The burning of artificial silk is similar to burning plastic, odor, fire reaction and appearance.
