Betta Origins – History of Siamese Fighting Fish

Siamese fighting fish were once very popular fish in Siam or modern Thailand, not for marvelous colors, but merely for fighting abilities. Later the scientist found and the scientific name is betta splendens or wonderful warrior, fish is now known as betta. The dull-colored fish fighters can hardly be linked to today's colorful and long Finnish betta, but aggressive behavior persists. Those who know the origins of betta say that during the Siam betts they were greenish and were very short. They thought the short edges were shaped so that their opponent would have to take much less of their collision.

Bettas when it is equivalent to playing rowers. The Siams bred the bettors to refine their combat skills. Some say that before the Siams started breeding, wild fighting takes only a few minutes. But as their breeding took place, the fighting increased the clocks at the same time. Despite the fact that the fighting took a long time, the bettors rarely experience severe injuries. Most injuries consist only of breaks that cause the opponent to be bitten. Like any other sport where the animals are about to fight, they have won and lost money to fight the fish, and the Samamians have regularly lost their fortune, just for the humble bet. It was so popular that even the king of Siam started collecting and abetting these fighting fish.

Sometimes, in the 1840's, he gave the king of Siam the deaths of a person who, in turn, handed it to Dr. Theodore Cantor. Dr. Cantor originally named the Macropodus Pugnax fish. This was later renamed by a certain Tate Regan to betta splendens in 1909. The bettors became popular and by the end of the 1800s, already in 1910, Europe and America saw bettas. the color and elongation of the fins of the bettas can be derived from those who later bred those who preferred colored balls. Betts have been popular in the United States and Japan since then. Some have their treasures for their fighting ability, while others prefer the bettas with wonderful colors. In Asia, there are already many betta farms who are either bettors for warriors or artworks.

Irrespective of the origin of betta, a significant part of the fighting fish is in the pet grooming. Some people are amazed at their beauty while others are very happy with the aggressiveness of betta. The origin of the wonderful warrior may not be very spectacular. But the fish undergo transformations that do not compare the original betta and today's betta. As long as they are not placed in the same container and the launch of combat skills begins.
