China is one of the most popular herbal teas in wang lao ji or wong lo kat in canton. Wang lao ji is said to be a product manufactured and sold by Wang Zebang (Wang Ji) from Heshan in Guangdong Province in 1828.
Currently, as a herbal remedy, Chinese herbs include "Water, White Sugar, Meson, Dan Hua, Bu Zha ye (Microcos paniculata Linn), Chrysanthemum flowers, Jin Yin Hua (Lonicera japonica Thunb.), Prunella vulgaris Licorice ("Dan hua" does not refer to eggs but refers to the Apocynaceae species.)

One of the most important herbs of Wong Lo Kat is Xia ku cao or Prunella vulgaris, commonly called self-healing, curing it all in the heart of the earth and a herb in the Prunella genus, a perennial plant in Europe, Asia and North America, America, and is growing by spreading roots underground under the climatic and other conditions, but generally from June to August.
