The Wright game for an ESL class

Mr. Wright is a great party game for ESL classrooms. This is a fun game for Christmas or other parties. You have to give a small gift … probably more, as the students want to play more games. You need to use a variety of scripts.

How it works …

Students are around. If you have many students, I recommend using more than one circle. However, although this is a gift for every single circle. Less students work better … maybe 8-10 rounds. Give the gift to one of them. (The box works well, use your judgment). Someone … you're a designated speaker – perhaps another teacher, read the script slowly. If the gift holder can hear the words "WRIGHT", "WRITE" or "RIGHT", the gift is forwarded to the listener on the right. If you hear the word "BAL", they will be transmitted to the left. When the reader finishes the screenplay, the gifted student will win.

Here is a sample script …

Mr. And WRIGHT Mrs. WRIGHT said to a woman on Saturday morning, "Why are not we going to go to the country?" 19459002

As a RIGHT delicious idea, Bill, but JOBB now has some cake in the oven, approx. Ten minutes to the left, then we can be right outside the door, does this sound all right? "

What about the kids?" "Well, watching Mary TV, there's not much time left in your program so every JOB, then Jimmy is there." What are you doing, Jimmy WRIGHT? "19459002

" I'm trying to write an essay to school. "

" Well, then ask this later, all the better? "

" All are RIGHT, mother! "Mary called from the living room:" Here I will be, my mother. "19459002

Soon Mr. WRIGHT, Mrs. WRIGHT and two of their children, Mary and Jimmy WRIGHT, were in the car and were ready to go." Everything RIGHT, must go? BALVE or RIGHT? "

" Let's take a vote! "

" FIRST! No, I mean, turn left. "

The others wanted to turn everything to go RIGHT.

They were just a block away from their house when Mary said," Oh no! BALÁSZ my phone in my room. Can we go back, please, dad? "Oh, everybody is RIGHT," said Mr. WRIGHT. Mary JOBBRA entered and got his phone in which BAL, then Right in the car, the WRIGHT family retreated on the road, and soon was RIGHT in the country, driving a few small towns … ENWRIGHT , CARTRIGHT and WAINWRIGHT

The RIGHT way, Bill? "Mrs. WRIGHT asked," I think. "We turned to the left at CARTRIGHT, then JOBB at WAINWRIGHT, and he immediately put it on the 47th highway. I think if we continue, we'll get to WRIGHTBRIDGE. "" There's a big Saturday market and a great restaurant at RIGHT. "RIGHT is GOOD DAY, ALL RIGHT?"

They all agree that Mr. WRIGHT has a good plan and So they left: in WRIGHTBRIDGE there was a RIGHT parking spot on the market. An hour later he looked around. "I'm hungry," Jimmy said. RIGHT! I am also me! "Said Mary, so the WRIGHT family went RIGHT to the" EATRIGHT "restaurant and had a fabulous lunch.

" How did you know this restaurant, dad? "" Well, it just happens to be my cousin … LEFTY. "

" LEFTY WRIGHT? What a good name! "

The WRIGHT family enjoyed the rest of the day in the country. When they got home, Jimmy said," I'm still writing the WRITE. "Mary said she would sit right and look TV WRIGHT said, "I'm tired, I think I'm in the right." "I'll be right there, I'll be there," said Mr. WRIGHT, looking at Mary and Jimmy. "Every RIGHT, WRIGHTS . Good night! "

The End!
