Mr. Wright is a great party game for ESL classrooms. This is a fun game for Christmas or other parties. You have to give a small gift … probably more, as the students want to play more games. You need to use a variety of scripts.
How it works …
Students are around. If you have many students, I recommend using more than one circle. However, although this is a gift for every single circle. Less students work better … maybe 8-10 rounds. Give the gift to one of them. (The box works well, use your judgment). Someone … you're a designated speaker – perhaps another teacher, read the script slowly. If the gift holder can hear the words "WRIGHT", "WRITE" or "RIGHT", the gift is forwarded to the listener on the right. If you hear the word "BAL", they will be transmitted to the left. When the reader finishes the screenplay, the gifted student will win.
