Learn Self-Defense – Save Your Life

Self-Defense can be created in a number of ways. Many people are involved in a martial arts hoping to learn to defend themselves while others choose a "self defense class". But martial arts self-defense oriented and self-defense classes are worth the time and energy.

Many dojo around the world are geared towards athletic aspects: competitions, kata shows, board breaks and extreme performances, which are primarily a good look and a pretty gym gym. Matches of the championship do not reflect good self defense or even a good fight. According to some permissions, "free sparring" is the worst thing to prepare for self defense or combat. I tend to agree.

Fighting is usually over in seconds and the winner is the one who has the tact of most of the body. Self-defense techniques generally reflect the struggles found. People are bleeding and they tend to lose parts of the body, especially the teeth. Fighting can result from a confrontation that can mean self-defense. There could have been annoyance or attack. It may be a victim of an attack type attack because it seems to be an easy target. She might be sucking the confrontation because she looked bad or was wearing a bad suit in the bad neighborhood.

Many clashes begin with "ape dancing". This is where one or both sides appear aggressively, without actually doing more than posing. They try to intimidate the other party with words or actions. Some confrontations begin with a sucking punch and go from there. Usually the person wins the first blow.

Self-defense training can save your life if you do it properly. If it was not a good workout, it could actually be in trouble. The inclusion of a six-week self defense department is, in my opinion, inadequate. In order to be able to perform the techniques, you have to do many and many times. You have to understand how he will react when attacked and suddenly get adrenaline dump into the system. The technique learned in the self-defense class, which is so easy to perform a cooperating training partner, suddenly does not show up because his motorcycle responses in bad times collide with his mental processes. Skills must be taught to the extent that the "reptile brain", the part of the brain reserved for survival instincts, enters and can do without thinking. You must be able to find all the events presented and have the right intent and power to perform efficiency. You should be willing to do all you need to survive the confrontation.

In martial arts we teach that our whole body is a weapon. Our best bet is our brain. We need to design a defense plan. Understand that the design is excellent until the astonishing material collides with the high-speed rotating device. What you need to design: 1) how to escape the spot where you are staying, 2) how to keep your head out. Maybe you can plan where it is going, it's a better first step, you do not have to necessarily need the first and the second stairs. Always consider "What if" your plans. Always plan a way out.

Protection for self-defense must be "gross engine power". If you are in a stressful state and adrenaline starts pumping, you can lose most of your subtle motor skills and create tunnel vision and tunnel hearing. Your arms and legs may not work as you think. Your thinking processes are also eliminated.

A few years ago I had the opportunity to teach my daughter and some of her staff a self-defense class. I told them what I thought about short-term lessons and what I needed to do to make the techniques viable (constant practice after class). The only thing that has been the underarm, the front kick, the knee strike, and the palm of the palm. Then we practiced them for three days, with hundreds of repetitions. Do you think any of these women would remember the techniques presented? They probably will not. But at least they were exposed to the concepts of protecting the person. Hopefully you will never have to get to know them hard.

Today, our society is so unfortunate that there are gangs. No matter who you are or what they call you. They are dangerous, violent and brutal. They carry guns, blades, screwdrivers and many other weapons. Drugs like cocaine, crack and met tend to tend. Many of these unconscious creeps may be deadly. If you hit them, you can not feel the pain like a sane man. Their strength can increase exponentially due to drugs. How can you protect yourself or group in such circumstances?

A friend of mine worked for the California Motorway Patrol. He talked to me about a meth-dependent story that was placed in the arrested socket. When the cuffs were removed, he attacked the booking officer. The creeping took office in the eye of the booking officer who had finally blinded him. There were four or five officers to remove this cretin from the booking officer and only after they became unconscious. Imagine meeting someone in self-defense. It's better for your self-defense techniques to stop and know what you're doing. The knees of the groin and the palm of the palm should not have the desired effect. Scoring techniques are completely exposed to the question.

One of the best self defense techniques I ever learned was running. In the old days, if you can pull twenty miles, you might get caught. Now I am lucky to be able to be across the street. You better run away and enjoy another day than playing a macho man and getting his second place trophy. It has a central zipper and is constructed so as not to let the body fluid leak. Constipations (chokes and chokes) are a viable alternative to alcohol or a drowned opponent, but if you're wrong, you better get ready for the court system. You may need to teach revitalizing techniques in your self defense departments, right?

Some claim to be carrying weapons. I'm one of those people. However, just because you have a Glock implanted in your waist does not mean you can use it efficiently and carefully (or legally). You need to do the efforts of training and practice, practice, and practice. If it's legitimate, you should wear a knife. You do not need a big "Rambo" knife. Just think what a surgeon can do with a centimeter blade! Personally I will find a weapon more than a knife. Knives in a short time can cause severe damage and are always tight and personal. They will never run out of ammunition, they do not lack security and are always ready to employ. The choice of weapons depends on you. He may not carry a gun. This is up to you, but you remember that an armed person has a clear advantage over any size and skill that does not have a weapon.

Take care of any self defense training that considers your techniques unknowable or of any size, strength or skill with anyone and can win every time. Each technique has counting techniques; Each counting technique has a counter, ad nauseum, ad infinitum. These statements can be really troublesome if they try to use the techniques taught and run with someone who knows the counters. Street fighters know counters in a multitude of martial arts techniques and practice them.

The previous strike can be a loud self-defense. If they know that because of verbal threats and body language they are attacked and can tell why their life or safety is achieved, the first strike is allowed. Recommended. What did the civil war say? Go to the first one for the show.

In the self-defense situation that begins with monkeys, always watch the other guy's hand. If you can not see them, it's likely to install a gun. This changes things significantly. When they present the weapon, they need deadly power. Nobody pulls a knife to scare you. Their intent is to permanently violate you. The firearm is very intimidating, and if more than the distance of the gun, you will forget the beautiful self defense protection. He's as good as he can not cover the distance like Smith & Wesson. Someone who puts effective wheels on the target is another topic. [Author's note: when I attended the police academy we were told of a situation where a cop and a bad guy got into a gunfight at a range of six feet. Both fired all six rounds from their revolvers. When the smoke cleared both were standing there unscratched. Both reloaded and fired another six rounds each. Same result. Amazing what adrenalin can do for you!]

Good book to learn and learn: Gavin De Becker's gift is fear. He's talking about hearing your intestines, as wartime is usually okay. If you find yourself in a situation when you do not feel yourself, listen to this feeling and get it out of here. And it's good to be rough. It would be better to wonder what could have happened than to experience it.

I tell the students that all workouts are good even if she teaches what to do. So if you are planning to self-defense the idea to save your life, please watch the training with a critical eye. Adrenaline-based responsiveness is probably the first best choice. I also understand that there are some openings in the Gunsite Training Center.
