Additionally to OK with Make Money Online: Adding a Sitemap adds significantly to indexing your blog or site chances. This is an important step and often ignored, but it takes very little time. The sitemap is so important that Google has designed and issued its own requirements. Since its release, YAHOO and MSN have adopted the standard.
The Sitemap provides the crawlers with the information they need to hide hidden pages or pages on your site. There are some additional information about the staffs when processing a sitemap file and the websites listed below. This information is mostly about complex web pages and goes beyond this article.
Let's start. First, we need to provide Google with your site, verify that it is your property or whether you are authorized to modify it.
Step 1: Log in to the Google Webmaster Tools site. The "Insert Location" text entry box and the button are located at the top of the page. Place the URL of the Blog or Site in the text input field and press the "Add Website" button.
Step 2: Then click "Verify Your Site" in the blue text. Then the "site verification" page appears. On the "Site Verification" page, you should see "Check Status: NONE". To verify that you are the owner of the Blog or Site, you must enter the Google-generated Meta Data into your blog or add a special HTML page to your site.
Select the authentication method:

* Log in to Blogger.
* Select the "Layout" tab.
* Click on the "Edit HTML" tab.
* Locate the "head" tag at the top of the HTML editor window.
* Place the cursor behind the header ">" and paste it into the previously copied Meta tag data.
* Click the SAVE TEMPLATE button.
* On the Google "Site Check" page, select the "Verify" button and press the return button.
Website Setup:
* Select the HTML tag.
* Use your favorite text editor to open a new file. Save As with the filename generated by Google and the "Site Verification" page is an example of google643463284612.html.
* Upload the file to the root directory of the site, typically "public_html /".
* On the Google "Site Check" page, select the "Verify" button and press the return button.
Setting WordPress:
Note: WordPress can use one of the methods you have specified, but not both. We recommend using the web-based method because it's the simplest to implement and does not require HTML editing.
When the Review page appears with your URL, you've done everything right.
Step 3: You will need an XML Sitemap-compatible file in your Blog or on your site. Currently, Google, YAHOO and MSN Search also use this file format.
* Installing Blogger: The XML Sitemaps is automatically created when revising, adding or adding pages to your blog. The Blogger XML Sitemap file is named atom.xml. Type your blog's URL into the browser you want and add "/atom.xml". to view automatically generated data.
* WordPress Setup: Arne Brachhold contains a great plugin that you can download and install on your WordPress Blog. Follow the instructions on the WordPress Web site. The plug-in has a graphical user interface and many options. Use the default to create a sitemap. Type your blog's URL into the browser you want and add the "/sitemap.xml" file. to view automatically generated data. You'll see the nicely formatted display of all your pages.
* Website Setup: To create a Sitemap, use free services available on the site in places such as xml sitemaps and freesiteemapgenerator. Google prefers XML-Sitemap compression. If you use the xml-sitemap page, you create the appropriate file and four additional files. Upload the sitemap.xml.gz file to your site's root directory – the "public_html /" folder.
Step 4: To tell Google the sitemap file, go to the Overview tab and hit the blue sitemap. When the Sitemaps page is displayed, the URL is under the address. Enter the following text in the text box you entered:
* Blogger Setting: Type "feed / posts / default? Orderby = Upgraded" in the box and press the "Submit Sitemap" button.
* Set Site: Enter "sitemap.xml.gz" in the specified field and press the "Submit Sitemap" button.
Press the "Submit Sitemap" button.
Google displays a message that confirms your entry. It lasts from one hour to a few hours to navigate your site. Keep in mind that Google does not guarantee that your site will be listed. Nevertheless, be patient – it will take time.
A division; the "Sitemap" capitalization always refers to the XML object in Google Sitemap. The lowercase "sitemap" always returns to your site's visual sitemap.
