The appropriate date for Israel's National Hiking Trail is from September to May. Summer is too hot and try to avoid it. In the fall times, all hikers will travel north to south, taking into account the weather. In spring, for similar reasons, most hikers head south to the north. In the southern monster, in the desert, it spikes over the summer, and when it reaches the north, spring bloom is still high and rain is unlikely.
Get ready for the ride. It's imperative to have good hiking boots and to "break them" to avoid painful blisters. Wear new shoes as much as you can before going on your trip.
The best way to break your shoes is to shape. Travel requires a good workout. It's a common mistake to assume that the start at Kibutz Dan (in the north) is easy and you will build your fitness during hiking. Many hikers who assume this will find themselves exhausted. Starting from the south of Eilat, the best workout is required. You have to face very steep rises in your first day – so get ready.
The trip recommended for hiking in Israel begins in March, in Tel Aviv, and goes south. The first days are light and allow you to build 2-3 difficult days in the Jewish mountains. When you reach Arad you will be in excellent shape. Continue to Eilat, then a palne / bus / car / taxi to Dan and head south to Tel Aviv, where it originally started. Celebrate your trip in one of Tel Aviv's many restaurants and beautiful beaches.
A good backpack is just as important as a shoe. The backpack should be 60 to 65 liters. A larger package is not required and is likely to fill the extra space that will result in a heavier backpack. We recommend that you try your backpack in the shop when you are loading 15 kg. Other equipment: Sleeping bags, mattresses, tents, walking sticks, walking trousers, cooking appliances, flashes, socks, underwear (especially boxers), first aid, hats and hygiene devices. Other important things for your cell phone and camera.
When inspecting your equipment, make sure the weight of the water and the backpack without food does not exceed 11 kg. Keep in mind that in the Negev 5-6 liters of water and food weighs about 2 kg when delivering food for 2 or more days.
For the purpose of planning a trip, it is recommended by Jacob Saar and Yagil Henkin of the Israel National Trail guide (Red Guide). Each topographic map contains what you need, a detailed trail and daily hiking profile daily showing the distance and height to climb or descend on that day.
Negev desert is needed to store water at points where water supply is not available. You need to cache about 10 spots and you can do it without your own 4×4 car or use a paid service. Water curing costs are high (~ $ 500), but can be reduced if you are traveling with other tourists. You will mark the caching space and draw a small map to find it. We suggest you take a picture of the cache and enter the coordinates if there is a GPS with you.

] Safe and comfortable travel rules:
Do not hike when it is too hot especially in the desert
every 50 minutes of hiking . At about noon, take a longer break.
Take a full day, at least once a week.
Spending Your Time . You and your friends spend about 6-7 weeks together on a 24-hour basis. Honor each other's needs and try to create space and personal space for each other, avoiding conflicts.
Theft of valuables This phenomenon exists between Ramad Arad and Mitzpe Ramon, more specifically between the Nightlife Camp and the Hava Night Camp . Do not walk alone this part for several reasons: Every tiny accident can turn into a big deal alone. Illumination of campfire allows thieves to know their place. Place your valuables in the sleeping bag. The tent offers better protection than sleeping from the outside. Put your backpack in your tent, or if you do not have a tent, your backpack with your body. It's a habit to store food together with water. The years of stolen food were reported in the following nightclubs: Beef Efee, Mezad Tamar, Little Kráter Night Camp, Mador Night Camp, Hava Night Camp. These events are rare, but may be unpleasant when they happen. So make sure that the water and food are slightly covered in the nightclub, which will not catch the thieves. We offer a paid caching service as you know the job well. If the supply or water is stolen (very rare!) They call the angle of one of the local trails and they will buy some stocks (for a fee). Some paid cache services provide a guarantee against theft. If you lose your meals and water, you will be charged for the goods with unnecessary fees.
Take a mobile phone and use emergency numbers.
the desert must be placed in a higher place during the rainy season to avoid the risk of floods. In an emergency in the desert it is advisable to wear whistles without cell phone reception; you can use it to draw attention around hikers or a park ranger. Night walking is not recommended. If you are walking along the edge of the road, the dark safety strips shine on your package.
Finally, there are rules that cause the fine to be interrupted if is touring Israel : In nature conservation areas, it does not sleep outside designated areas. The Israeli conservation authority's official executive complies with this rule. In the desert it does not sleep beside the watermills as these are used by wild animals and because of your presence, animals can not stay away from drinking. There are no camp fires outside designated areas and you can not use locally cut branches to start fire.
