Immigration and Visa Requirements for Travel to India

Immigration is controlled for all travelers, aliens and Indians at the time of arrival and departure. Passengers are duly stamped on arrival and departure, and passengers must be careful and check the stamp before leaving the stamp. With the exception of Nepal and Bhutan, citizens from all countries require valid passports, proper travel documents and visas to enter India. Citizens from Nepal and Bhutan do not require a passport or visa, but must have valid documents based on valid country documents. All travelers, foreigners and Indians who enter / leave India must fill in the landing card and the entrance card upon arrival and departure.
